So where would you rather be?
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It has everything, scorching sun, bronzed bodies, lots of thongs, people of all ages running up and down the beaches and one of the best 'laid back' vibes I've ever experienced anywhere in the world.

What's all the fuss about?
Rio has it all, bronzed beauties, golden beaches, legendry nightlife, great surf and crystal clear waters, right in the heart of the city! One minute you can be buying your Jasper Conran shoes in some of the biggest fashion malls of South America, and the next you can cross the road and be lying on the beach, sipping a cocktail, fresh coconut or cold beers and watching Rio life at its best.

Keep Talking...
It has a laid back, chilled out, 'whatever happens happens' kind of vibe. In a city renowned for high crime rates and its infamous favelas, you really do have one of the most fascinating places on the planet! It’s a fast paced, modern city where you can spend thousands in one shop, yet outside the biggest stores are street vendors from nearby towns, selling the day’s wares and all just going with the flow.

If you could describe the place in three words, what would they be?
Laid-back, unpretentious, friendly

If there's only one thing I should do while I'm there, what is it?
Naturally you should visit the amazing beaches and the Christ the Redeemer statue, which overlooks the city. However, one thing every visitor absolutely must do is visit the favelas (although you should go with an experienced tour guide). You will get to see the other side of the city, one that will open your eyes to some of Rio’s underlying issues and also make you see they are not the 'deadly' places people make out. Yes, some people are criminals who live there, but the majority are a stigmatised people working in the top hotels, restaurants and hospitals, and are just as friendly to get to know as everyone else.
